There is such a thing as too much Pie.

Well, after just over a week, we got tired of HC food and decided to hit the pie for dinner.

The Aftermath...

So, we decided to walk back to the dorms. :]

Mathematical dilemma

Math 1050 is a wonderful class. It's very challenging and keeps me on my toes. It's great!

...That is what someone would say if they hadn't taken Calculus twice already. Which I have.

To get a little feel for the class, my first lesson was the difference between real and rational numbers. The next was functions. Hi, I'm basically only taking 10 credits because this class is a throw away class. And it's at 8:30 in the morning.... Should I go to class? Yes. Will I go to class? Of course! (Hi mom :))

Other than this, I'm loving college. New friends, new adventures, a new sense of maturity and independence, but not a new 15 lbs. Our fridge is stocked with all the essentials for healthiness. Carrots, skim milk, sweet peas, apples and water. Speaking of independence/food... I got a Smith's Fresh Values Card. I'm growing up! :)

Well, for the few readers to this blog, sorry about the menagerie of ideas that encompassed this post. I'll get better at this, I promise.

Dia Una.

Today was the first day of classes. It was a lot better than I expected. Some of my professors are a little off their rocker, but I suppose that's to be expected. I can't talk much about academics due to it being the first day and all, so social life it is. :]
We have made so many friends here. We left our door open so people just kept funneling in. Now we've got a really great group of people. We've got some out of staters and some nerds and some athletes. Even a couple people from other buildings. I'm really enjoying myself and I'm glad that we've already met so many  people. It definitely eased a lot of my concerns.
This whole experience is better than I ever imagined it. And believe me, i had high expectations. I can't wait to get more in depth in my classes and figure out exactly what I want to do.
In the words of Asher Roth... I love college.

Ben with his unicycle.

Our gourmet Saturday lunch.

The third Jordan we met. From Washington.

Our mass of phone numbers. Yeah, we're that cool. :]

Some of the roomies + friends: Jenni, uhhhh, and one of the other Jordans from next door.

Party in Jamie and Brooke's room. :]

We made good use of the empty futon box.

Move-In Day!

Today was great. We got almost all moved-in to the dorms. I feel like there are still a lot of shopping trips ahead of us though. So far, our fridge is stocked with skim milk and apples. Add some Special K and bananas and we've got breakfast for tomorrow. There's no way we're getting close to that freshman fifteen. Our roommates Jenni and Brittany are awesome! It's a little weird getting used to calling this place home, but that will get easier. Our closet is tiny, especially when you try and fit all of Brooke's shoes in there, but we're definitely managing.
Note to self:
Next time remember ibuprofen, an extension chord, and a ton of hangers.

I think we both feel so ready for new people, a new place, and a new adventure. I can't wait to start.
Due to technical difficulties, pics will come later. :]
